Landscapes between lunar landscapes and lush lands, with the guidebook of the perfect adventurer to discover the 2 islands visited in a playful way. This 12-days program allows you to explore the Cape Verde Islands in depth, walking through varied landscapes and discovering the local culture. The hikes are moderate to challenging level, so it’s important to be in good physical shape to make the most of the experience. The hikes are guided by an experienced local guide and includes all meals, transfers, hotel accommodation. On the program: walking from village to village in the green and volcanic valleys of Santo Antão,, swimming on the beach of São Vicente with the chance to be able to swim with the turtles of the beach of Sao Pedro.
Day 1
São Vicente/Santo Antão /Tarrafal de Monte Trigo
Boat crossing from Sao Vicente to Santo Antão. After an hour of navigation, we arrive in Porto Novo. We reach the village of Tarrafal (south-west) 2h driving. We will discover its calm waters and its superb black sand beach. 1 nights.

Day 2
Tarrafal /Monte Trigo
Today we are leaving for a superb coastal hike to reach Monte Trigo , a small paradisiacal village still isolated from the rest of the island and protected from the trade winds by the Topo de Coroa the highest Point of Santo Antão( 1979m). And return to Tarrafal for a second night by fishing boat 40mn
Be careful because if the sea is rough, the return will be on foot or in a total of 8 hours of walking. Because your safety is our priority Lunch in a local restaurant

Tarrafal – Topo de Coroa ( Vulcano)
Departure for the ascent of the highest point of the island, the Topo de Coroa at an altitude of 1979 m. After a transfer to Lagoinha , we “attack” the slopes of Topo de Coroa. The path winds in the middle of impressive lunar landscapes and offers beautiful views of the volcanic cones and the sea. At the end of the afternoon, we reach the village of Norte where we spend a night .

Norte – Ribeira da Cruz
We leave the plateau of Norte on the way to Ribeira da Cruz . We reach the fishing village of and agriculture vilage of Ribeira da Cruz . a beautiful descent with spectacular landscapes crossing the gricola village of Martiene to reach our destination, Ribeira da Cruz a long descent towards the coast. Arrival in Ribeira da Cruz in the middle of the afternoon.

Ribeira da Cruz – Figueiras
Early departure from your hotel to the locality Figueiras . Then the path begins to descend which runs along the hill to the next village of Boca de Alto Mira . We will have a clear perception of the contrast between the villages , on one side, the immense Ribeira, one the largest hydrographic basin in the country. There is little human attachment at the starting bridge of the hike. Along the hike you can find endemic plants and also breathtaking landscapes. The population is dedicated to livestock, dry farming and cheese production.
Already, at the point of arrival, we will find a dense settlement of the population, whose main activity is agriculture.

Figueiras – Cruzinha
Early departure from your hotel to the locality of Cruzinha de Garça. With a beautiful descent towards Ribeira Alta and then we continue climbing towards Ribeira de inverno and then continue to reach village of Cruzinha de Garça.

Cruzinha /Fontainhas /Ponta do Sol
After breakfast, superb walk on the cliffs along the sea; Cruzinha small fishing village and the small rural hamlets,Formiguinhas,Corvo,and Fontaínhas. We stop in formiguinhas village for a lunch in a local restaurant and then we we continue to Ponta do Sol, a city with colonial architecture where you will spend the night. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Ribeira da Torre’s Valley
Ribeira da Torre, a deep volcanic valley surrounded by cliffs and dotted with pythons, where we spent the day discovering life and rural culture. Passing trough Ribeira de Vinha with its magnificent waterfall of 150 meters high and village of Lombo de Pico with its spectacular volcanic neck. The trail passes and the irrigation canals (levadas) they lead to the town of Rabo Curto, descent through fields of sugar cane and yams to the village of Xoxo. Lunch in a local restaurant .

Lombo Branco – Pinhão
Short transfer to the small, colorful fishing village of Sinagoga with a small shipyard, then to Lombo Branco. We start the trek in the valley above Pinhao, crossing small villages through terraced crops. Arrival on foot in Ribeira Grande and visit of the city. At the end of the day, short transfer to Ponta Do Sol, a seaside village.

Paul’s Valley from de inside
A transfer will take you to the starting point of this magnificent hike, walking among potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, papaia and other vegetables and fruits, as a starting point of the famous hike, over 600m, a magnificent hike. with many sugar cane terraces and of course the possibility to taste the local grogue and the punch. We share a typical meal and a typical restaurant.

Hike Janela – Porto Novo – Mindelo
A transfer will take you to the starting point of this magnificent hike starting point of this beautiful hike.Crossing the village of Puntinha Janela an fishing Village and then the green valley of Janela in the middle of yam fields, bananas groves, sugar cane, papaya and then we descend to Ribeira de Penedo to reach the village of Janela where we will get the lunch. Lunch in a local restaurant. Ferry crossing in the afternoon from Porto Novo to Mindelo – São Vicente .

City Tour – Beaches and Calhau
We leave the hotel at 9h30mn to have a city tour at Mindelo and buying some Souvenir four your littles kids.Visiting Monte Verde ,Baia das Gatas where we will swim and enjoy the beach. After BAis we drive you to calhau village where we will have a lunch. Return to mindelo after lunch stoping in Madeiral for Pictures.

End of your stay, return to the country of origin
