Day 2
Island tour – Santiago
Explore the highlights of Santiago on this full-day tour. Enjoy a typical breakfast with a local family,
visit the Assomada market and follow the Serra Malagueta. Then we continue to Cidade Velha, it is
the first city built by Europeans in the tropics and the first capital of the Cape Verde archipelago. It
was originally called Ribeira Grande, changing its name to avoid ambiguity with the homonymous
village. Lunch in a local restaurant , return to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 3
Flight to Fogo Island
In the afternoon , flight to Fogo Island. Arrived in São Felipe and a transfer to the village of Châ Das
Caldeiras located at the foot of the volcano at 1700m altitude. Gradually you rise above the black
sand beaches of Sao Felipe to enter the lunar landscape of the caldera. Arrival in the afternoon and
installation in your accommodation for 2 nights.
Day 4
Ascent of Pico de Fogo
Early departure, you set off to storm Pico of Fogo, the highest point of the archipelago rising to 2829
meters above sea level. The trail is a bit steep in slag and stones … but from up there the view is
wonderful. Very fun and rapid descent into the pozzolanas (mixture of dust, ash, slag).

Island tour – Sao Vicente
Discover the city of Mindelo, with its beautiful colonial houses, and visit our vegetable and fish
market, then we continue towards Monte Verde to climb to the highest peak of São Vicente at
779m. Discover all the landscapes of São Vicente with the beautiful beaches and dormant volcanoes.
Towards a great adventure. Lunch in a restaurant in Calhau. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit.
Transfer to the hotel after the excursion.

São Vicente -Santo Antão
Hike Agua das Caldeiras – Xoxo
Boat crossing from Sao Vicente to Santo Antão. After an hour of navigation, we arrive in Porto Novo.
We reach the village of Agua das caldeiras, the starting point of the hike . Between pines and
eucalyptus, we go around this depression located at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level. At the
start of the walk you cross a forest from which the client will find the start of the circuit. You will be
able to enjoy the magnificent landscape of the eastern plateau. A beautiful descent from Agua das
caldeiras to a village of xoxo, crossing the coffee plantations (ARABICA), yams, sweet potatoes bread
fruit, sugar cane, manioc others, until we reach our distinction. During this walk we will be
surrounded by green landscapes and unique.Lunch in a local restaurant.

Ponta do sol /Cruzinha
From the town of Ponta do Sol, located on the northeast coast of the island, where people live
mainly from fishing. We will climb to Fontainhas where we will find several plantations to arrive later
at Selada de Corvo, panoramic view of Ponta do Sol and Corvo, descending into the valley there is
water sources all year round, then to Formiguinhas, a small town overlooking the sea. From
Formiguinhas we will arrive in Aranhas, an abandoned town, then we will arrive at Mezcla de Ribeira
Seca beach with white and black sand, where we can take a dip to cool off, There are also caves
formed by lava, a good place to have a picnic, then we will pass by Motcho beach to reach the village
of Cruzinha. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Hike Lagoa – Caibros – Figeiral
Early departure from your hotel to the locality of Matinho. Then the path begins to descend which
runs along the hill to the next village. We will have a clear perception of the contrast between the
North/North-East and the South of the island, on one side, the immense Ribeira Grande, the largest
hydrographic basin in the country. There is little human attachment at the starting bridge of the
hike. Along the hike you can find endemic plants and also breathtaking landscapes. The population
is dedicated to livestock, dry farming and cheese production. Already, at the point of arrival, we will
find a dense settlement of the population, whose main activity is agriculture.

Hike Paúl’s Valley Fom de inside, transfer to tarrafal in the afternoon
A transfer will take you to the starting point of this magnificent hike, walking among potatoes, yams,
sweet potatoes, papaia and other vegetables and fruits, as a starting point of the famous hike, over
600m, a magnificent hike. with many sugar cane terraces and of course the possibility to taste the
local grogue and the punch. We share a typical meal and a typical restaurant.
At the end of the afternoon, transfer via janela to tarrafal of Montrigo for 2 nights.

Tarrafal -Monte Trigo
Today we are leaving for a superb coastal hike to reach Monte Trigo , a small paradisiacal village still
isolated from the rest of the island and protected from the trade winds by the Topo de Coroa the
highest Point of Santo Antão( 1979m). And return to Tarrafal for a second night by fishing boat 40mn
NOTE: if the sea is rough, the return will be on foot or in a total of 8 hours of walking. Because your
