Authentic and charming landscapes, in this hike takes us to a very green valley in the middle of fields of yams, potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, papaia and other vegetables and fruits, as a starting point for the famous hike, over 1200m, a magnificent hike. with numerous sugar cane terraces and of course the possibility of tasting the local grogue and punch. We share a typical meal in a typical restaurant.

Ribeira da Torre, a deep volcanic valley surrounded by cliffs and dotted with pythons, where we spent the day learning about rural life and culture. Passing through Ribeira de Vinha with its magnificent 150 meter high waterfall and the village of Lombo de Pico with its spectacular volcanic pass. The trail passes through irrigation canals (levadas), descending through fields of sugar cane and yams to the village of Xoxo. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Early departure from your hotel to the locality Ribeira das Patas . Then the path begins to descend which runs along the hill to the next villages of Joao Bento ,then we continue to reach Forquinha, where the nature will will offer us a spectacular view and and then we reach Alto Mira a village. We will have a clear perception of the contrast between the villages , on one side, the immense Alto Mira, one of the largest hydrographic basin in the country.
From the town of Ponta do Sol, located on the northeast coast of the island, where people live mainly from fishing. We will climb to Fontainhas where we will find several plantations to arrive later at Selada de Corvo, panoramic view of Ponta do Sol and Corvo, descending into the valley there is water sources all year round, then to Formiguinhas, a small town overlooking the sea. From Formiguinhas we will arrive in Aranhas, an abandoned town, then we will arrive at Mezcla de Ribeira Seca beach with white and black sand, where we can take a dip to cool off, There are also caves formed by lava, a good place to have a picnic, then we will pass by Motcho beach to reach the village of Cruzinha. Lunch in a local restaurant.
We reach the village of Agua das caldeiras, starting point of the trek. Between pines and eucalyptus, we bypass this depression located at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level. At the start of the walk you cross a forest from which the customer will find the start of the circuit. You can enjoy the magnificent landscape of the eastern plateau.

Then the path begins to descend which runs along the hill to the next villages of Dominguinhas and Boca de Alto Mira and then to reach the village of Ribeira da Cruz . We will have a clear perception of the contrast between the villages , on one side, the immense Alto Mira, one of the largest hydrographic basin in the country. There is little human attachment at the starting bridge of the hike. Along the hike you can find endemic plants and also breathtaking landscapes. The population is dedicated to livestock, dry farming and cheese production. Already, at the point of arrival, we will find a dense settlement of the population, whose main activity is agriculture.

We will have a clear perception of the contrast between the North/Northeast and the South of the island, on one side, the immense Ribeira Grande, the largest hydrographic basin in the country. There is little human fixation at the starting bridge of the hike. Along the promenade you can find endemic plants and also breathtaking landscapes. The population is dedicated to breeding, dry farming and cheese production. Already, at the point of arrival, we will find a dense settlement of the population, whose main activity is agriculture.
We drive from the hotel to the starting point, Lombo Branco, where we will start, this walk used to be the only way to cross before the road was built at sea level. The guide will take you through small towns, some abandoned. You can enjoy freshly brewed coffee under big trees. You will descend and ascend along clean paths, passing trees and terraces and you will be surprised by the beautiful view of the sea. The walk ends in Pinhão, but if you prefer, you can walk to the sea.
